The ESU is sponsoring Shakespeare Alive in 2018, a video-based competition for secondary students from the ages of 15 to 18.

Students are invited to bring to life the power of Shakespeare’s language and convey the emotions of humour, tragedy or love as expressed in a monologue from one of Shakespeare’s plays in their own 5 minute YouTube video production.

Videos can be submitted in the period commencing 16th July until 28th September 2018.

An adjudication panel will short-list the best video submissions, with winning entries announced on 19th October 2018.

The winner will receive $1,000 and two runners-up will each receive $500 cash prizes.

Winning video entries will also feature on the ESU’s website.
